The course Assessing Health Risks in Occupational Hygiene introduces you to topics associated with ensuring a safe and risk-free work place. The course begins by introducing you to ways of measuring airborne contamination. You will learn about the main sampling techniques and equipment that is used to derive a quantitative estimate of the exposure employees have to substances hazardous to their health.
You will learn about the general features of a Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) system and the different types of inlets. You will also learn why the source of contamination may need to be considered during the design and construction of captor inlets.
