Beginner Accounting

The good news is accounting is not as difficult as you might’ve heard. The bad news it that you must be good at math. If suck at math, accounting is not for you. Accounting is 95% math and 5% procedures and principles.

Accounting is all about numbers, data, figures, or whatever you choose to call it. Most accountants today aren’t real accountants. The newly-trained workers know everything about software and how to make the appropriate entries, but they lack one thing – knowledge of the accounting cycle. If you don’t know why you’re making a journal entry, you’re a data entry clerk. Accountants know how every entry affects the income statement, balance sheet, and company’s bottom line.

We’ve broken down our Beginner Accounting course into 16 lessons that are easy to digest and easy to remember. If you complete a lesson and aren’t really sure what you learned, retake the lesson. Some people claim they have to do things two or three times before the knowledge sinks in. You’re welcome to take our course lessons as many times as you’d like.
